Ma'am, what are our possible requirements??

Do we have a course policy to follow in this lesson?

ACTIVITY 1 REQUIREMENT

Below is the picture of the skeletal system together with its labelled parts.

Some of the major bones in the human body. By the time an individual reaches adulthood, the number of bones in the body totals about 206. (Illustration by Kopp Illustration, Inc.)

Is my answer to activity 1 correct???

Are you still there ma'am?

ACTIVITY 2 REQUIREMENT

The axial and appendicular skeletons are the two divisions of the skeletal system. The axial skeleton is made up of 80 bones while the appendicular skeleton is made up of 126 bones. These bones made up the 206 bones a child has.

The axial skeleton is used for the protection of the body's internal organs while the appendicular skeleton is used for locomotion.

Our skull that protects our brain, the vertebral column that protects our spinal cord and the thoracic cage that protects our heart, lungs and other organs made up the axial skeleton. The pelvic girdle, pectoral girdle and other bones used for moving comprises the appendicular skeleton.

We are wonderfully and creatively made by our Master Creator.

Is my paragraph ok???

What could you say about my paragraph? Ridiculous english... hahahahaha

ACTIVITY 3 REQUIREMENT

The skeletal system is one of the major systems of the human body. It has three major functions; protection, motion and support.

The first function of the skeletal system is for protection. Some bones of the skeletal system like the thoracic cage, skull and vertebral column protects the heart, brain and spinal cord respectively.

The second function of the skeletal system is for motion. The appendicular skeleton is used for locomotion. Pelvic and pectoral  girdles enable us to move. Some bones of this function are the femur, tibia, carpals, tarsals, etc.\

The third function of the skeletal system is for support. In our basic sciences, we are told that the skeletal system is the framework of the body. Without it, we cannot stand since there will be no bones to stand as a framework. It serves as our foundation.

Protection, motion and support are the major fucntions of the skeletal system.

Ma'am , how's my paragraph? Is it correct?

Ma'am, how will I know if my answers are right or wrong? Teacher's presence is still a necessity.

ACTIVITY FOUR REQUIREMENT

Four Types of Bones

a.LOng Bones
b. Short Bones
c. Flat Bones
d. Irregular Bones

A. LONG BONES

Function:  Movement - to generate strength and speed

B. SHORT BONES

Function: Shock absorption - spreading load

C. FLAT BONES

Function: Protection of vital organs, attachment of muscles to help movement

D. IRREGULAR BONES

Function: Provide shape, protection

Below is the tabular form of the outline.

There are 4 types of bone:

Type of bone Example Function in sport

Long Femur, humerus

Movement - to generate strength and speed Short Carpals, tarsal Shock absorption - spreading load

Flat (Plate) Ribs, cranium Protection of vital organs, attachment of muscles to help movement

Irregular Vertebrae, face Provide shape, protection

Ma'am Nurina, I am done from Activities one up to four.

I have already completed all the requirements.

I will be busy starting tomorrow. I won't have any time to view your comments.

Thank you for being our lesson 7 facilitator.
